Help for LoudMail

We know that when you need help, you need it fast so at LoudMail we try to help you as quickly as possible.

Help me!  I cannot hear anything.

To test, select menu item "LoudMail/Sound Test".  If you still cannot hear anything then you most likely have a problem, with your speaker.  Try the following

  1. If you have external speakers make sure that these are turned on, turned up and are connected to your computer.
  2. Check that the volume for the computer is loud enough.  To do this select the speaker icon from the Start bar.  You need to check both the main volume control and the wave volume are loud enough.  (In the next version of LoudMail you should be able to do this from the LoudMail menu.)

 

Help me!  Outlook no longer starts speaking when I select a message.

Select menu item "LoudMail/Sound Test".  If you cannot hear anything, this is your problem.  Follow the steps listed above under "I cannot hear anything".  If you still have a problem, check that LoudMail is set up to automatically start playing your messages by doing the following:

  1. Select menu item "LoudMail/Options".
  2. In the "LoudMail Options" dialog make sure that the checkbox beside "When a new email is opened automatically start reading it" is selected.  (You can use the space bar to do this)
  3. Click button "OK"

 

Help me!  My LoudMail toolbar has disappeared.

There are one of two problems here.  First make sure you have got the toolbar turned on.  To do this:

  1. Open Microsoft Office Outlook
  2. Select menu item "Tools/Customize"
  3. In the "Customize" dialog, select the "Toolbars" tab.
  4. In the "Toolbars:" box select "LoudMail".
  5. Put a tick in the box to the left of "LoudMail" either by using the mouse or using the space bar.
  6. Select "Close" button.

If "LoudMail" does not appear in the list of toolbars then it is most likely that Microsoft Office Outlook needs to be reset.   To do this:

  1. Open Microsoft Office Outlook
  2. Select menu item "Help/About Microsoft Office Outlook"
  3. Select button "Disabled Items..." from the bottom of the page.
  4. If "Addin: outlook addin (mscoree.dll)" appears in the list, select it.  Then click button "Enable".
  5. Close all windows and restart Office.
